RULES OF PLAY

• The tournament is for AMATEUR GOLFERS Ages 35 to 70 and shall be conducted in accordance with the Rules of Golf of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, the USGA and the Local Rules of the home course played.

COMPETITION FORMAT

• The tournament will be divided into 4 groups, based on the playing field and handicap proportion of the participants. (GROUP A, B, C, D).

• For Individual Competition, The Field will be divided into 4 Classes based on the playing field handicap. (CLASS A, B, C, D).

• Team Competitions will have a four (4) to play three (3) to count Stableford system for the duration of the tournament.

• There will be no practice rounds given for the remainder of the golf tournament.

• Senior Golfers at the age of 60 and above will be playing from the white tee mount over the duration of the golf tournament.

• The Tournament Committee reserves the right to classify or reclassify any team/s or individual if it deems such change is for the good of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT ENTRIES

• Teams may submit lineups consisting of four (4) players per team and not more than one (1) alternate player per team.

• Participating teams must confirm their registration in the tournament by submitting to the tournament committee their completed entry forms and paid registration fees on or before September 16, 2019.

• Each team MUST have a designated Team Captain who shall ensure that his team members are familiar with the rules of golf, tournament rules and other rules applicable to the competition.

• Each Team participating in the tournament must have a TEAM CAPTAIN who shall be liable with his team members’ familiarity with the rules of golf, The Tournament Rules, and other rules applicable to the tournament.

• The Team Captain is responsible for verifying, authenticating and submitting copies of the handicap indexes of his team members.

• The Team Captain is responsible to submit their line-ups to the tournament Committee and all submissions are FINAL. If no line-up has been submitted by the team captains, the tournament committee will assign players on behalf of the TEAM CAPTAINS.

HANDICAPS

• Handicap indexes shall be submitted with the team’s application. The RWM Committee requires a copy of a player’s April and May 2019 official handicap index card/certification from USGA, R&A, GHIN or Unified National Handicapping System of their respective country. All players must bring the original handicap index card/certification for verification purposes. The Committee reserves the right to reject or adjust handicap indexes of a player before or during tournament proper

• A player who does not submit the proper documentation (index) may be given a handicap of zero (0).

• Teams/ individuals shall be disqualified for submitting confirmed false handicap indexes (Rule 6-2b, Rules of Golf) and may be banned from future participation in the Golf Tournament. Team protests must be submitted in writing with an attached proof to the Tournament Committee. The Committee reserves the right to investigate any handicaps.

• Any complaints regarding a participant or team handicap must be reported no later than October 25, 2019.

SCORING SYSTEM

• The Tournament Format will be scored based on the following system

6 points – Hole-In-One on par 4 or Double Eagle/ Albatross

5 points – Hole-In-One on par 3

4 points – two under par (Eagle)

3 points – one under par (Birdie)

2 points – par

1 point – one over par (Bogey)

0 point – Two over par (Double Bogey Pick-up)

• Note: Players are reminded to please record strokes and not points during the tournament.

• Each team may field four (4) players with three (3) scores to count for the team for the day.

• Ties for team competition will be broken with the final round score of the 4th  player. (Score that did not count)

• Ties from Individual Competition will be broken down with the final round score of the player.

TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL AWARDS

• Team trophies will be awarded to Champions, & 1ST Runners-up for all Group Divisions.

• A Trophy will be awarded to the medalist of each individual classification as determined by their assigned Class.

• Hole-in-one awards will only be issued for those made during the tournament proper.

TEE TIMES & PAIRINGS

• Pairings and starting times will be released and posted. Pairings sheets will be made available at the secretariat, Official Golf Tournament page (Facebook, Website, etc.)

• Requesting of Tee Times & Pairings will not be entertained by the tournament Committees.

MEASURING DEVICES

• A Tournament Player can use any form of distance measuring device, As long as it doesn’t measure elevation, wind and other conditions that will affect his gameplay. 2 stroke penalty will be given as a first offense warning and disqualification afterward. A penalty will be given to the said player after the round.

TOURNAMENT RULINGS & OFFICIALS

• Question regarding a certain rule of Golf shall be handled by the Tournament Committee. Any Complaints must be submitted 6:00 PM on the date of the golf round.

• Tournament Committees decision with the ruling is final.

DISQUALIFICATION

• Tournament Committee has the right to disqualify players at any given time. This can be weighed on the severity of the accident or complaint against a team or individual player.
